Meet Sara A. Johnson, BSN RN, Board-Certified Nurse Coach
From surviving burnout to helping others rediscover peace, purpose, and strength.
You’ve spent so much of your life caring for everyone else — and I get it, because I’ve done the same.
With over 31 years as a registered nurse, I know how easy it is to lose yourself while trying to hold everything together. I’ve felt the burnout. I’ve lived the pressure. I know what it’s like to long for stillness but not know how to find it.
That’s why I created Growth & Gratitude Nurse Coaching — a heart-centered space for individuals who are ready to breathe again, reconnect with what matters, and feel whole.
My approach blends decades of medical experience with a deeply personal understanding of stress, grief, change, and healing. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter fixes — I believe in walking with you, gently and compassionately, as you create a life of balance, clarity, and renewal.
What I Believe
-
You are not broken — you're overwhelmed.
-
Healing happens when you feel seen, supported, and safe.
-
You don’t have to do it all to be worthy of rest, joy, and wellness.
-
Change doesn’t have to be loud. It can be slow, sacred, and lasting.
A Bit More About Me
I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing from Western Iowa Technical Community College in 1994, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dakota Wesleyan University in 2019. Becoming a Board-Certified Nurse Coach through the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation was the next chapter — and the one that helped me find myself and my purpose.
I live in rural South Dakota with my husband on our ranch. We’ve raised three incredible kids and plenty of cattle...and I’ve learned that the most meaningful growth often starts with a small step and a deep breath.
