Sara A Johnson BSN RN Board-Certified Nurse Coach
With more than 31 years as a registered nurse, I’ve seen how quietly stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, and unhealthy coping patterns can take root. I know how overwhelming it feels to hold everything together while slowly losing parts of yourself in the process...I was there as well.
That’s why I created Growth & Gratitude Nurse Coaching — a heart-centered, safe space for individuals who are ready to breathe again…
to feel less anxious…
to heal old emotional wounds…
to regulate their nervous system…
to overcome patterns that keep them stuck…
and to feel whole in their body, mind, and spirit.
A Whole-Person Approach to Healing
My coaching blends decades of medical experience with a deeply personal understanding of what it’s like to hit a breaking point — and rebuild.
I don’t offer quick fixes or surface-level tips.
I walk with you, gently and compassionately, as you:
✨ Improve your physical and mental well-being
✨ Calm anxiety and emotional overwhelm
✨ Strengthen and regulate your nervous system
✨ Break free from addictive or self-silencing patterns
✨ Heal from trauma or past experiences that still affect you
✨ Create a life that feels lighter, steadier, and more aligned
Your healing becomes possible the moment you feel seen, supported, and safe — and that is the foundation of my work.
What I Believe
-
You are not broken — you’re overwhelmed.
-
Your nervous system is doing its best to protect you.
-
You deserve rest, joy, and connection — without guilt.
-
Healing can be soft, slow, and deeply meaningful.
-
You don’t have to do it alone.
A Bit More About Me
I live in rural South Dakota with my husband on our ranch. We’ve raised three incredible kids (and many cattle), and somewhere between the wide-open space and quiet sunsets, I’ve learned that the most powerful growth often begins with a small step… and a deep, honest breath.
